The MDS capstone presentations were on June 25, 2019 and included 9 projects from organization sponsors including Statistics Canada, Scotiabank, Interior Health, City of Kelowna, UBC, GetintheLoop, and Seekers Media. The project presentations were excellent, and the projects made significant insights and contributions for the organizations.
MDS students were recognized for completion of their program in a celebration event that was hosted by Dr. Ramon Lawrence, Director of the MDS, and Professor Deborah Buszard, Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Principal of UBC Okanagan. The 28 students completing the program are in the job market with many having already found employment. Applications for organizations interested in being a capstone partner for 2019/2020 open in October 2019. Details on the capstone are available.
